Bequest program

The Jewish Holocaust Centre aims to make a real difference in people's lives, and for those who wish to make the world a better place, supporting the Centre's work helps to achieve this, at the same time ensuring that the memories of the Holocaust victims will be preserved in perpetuity. Supporters of the Centre's work can give practical expression to this by making a bequest in their Wills.

Your Will is important – it’s your right to choose

Your Will is a legal document which allows you to choose who will receive your assets when you die. If you do not have a Will you lose this right. For peace of mind and for your loved ones, it is very important to have an up-to-date Will which reflects your current financial situation and allows you to choose. Your solicitor or trustee company can assist you, or the Jewish Holocaust Centre can suggest solicitors or trustee companies which may be able to help you.

How to make a bequest to the Jewish Holocaust Centre

Once you have made provision for your family and loved ones, you may consider making a provision for the Jewish Holocaust Centre (JHC) in your Will. Gifts could include a general purpose bequest to support operational activities, a specific purpose gift such as sponsorship of a program or activity, or a gift in perpetuity administered by the Jewish Holocaust Centre Foundation.

You can do this by nominating the Jewish Holocaust Centre as the beneficiary or part-beneficiary in your Will as follows:

  • Allocate a specific amount or a percentage of your Will to the JHC
  • Allocate property such as a house or land to the JHC
  • Allocate specific items, money, shares, or special collections to the JHC
  • Nominate the JHC as a beneficiary to your insurance policy
  • Establish a trust fund where the interest earned is donated to the JHC
  • Designate 'all the rest' and/or the 'residue of the estate' to the JHC
